Prefers part sun / part shade. Morning sun and afternoon shade is good, too. Avoid planting in full sun or deep shade. Fertilize in the spring and again after flowering. If you cut back Jacob’s Ladder after flowering, you may also get a second flush of flowers.
‘Heaven Scent’ seems to be able to take a bit more sun than the others as long as a good supply of moisture is available.
Needs good drainage. However, consider mulching to preserve soil moisture
