Introduced in England in 1993 a seedling of Rouge Cardinal. The 5-7″(12-18cm) deep purple flowers have shades of crimson on the center rib. Blooming time is late May to October. This very compact variety grows to about 4-6′(1-2m) making it an ideal plant for pot culture.

Rich bluey-purple blooms with an almost velvety texture and eye-catching crown of contrasting yellow stamens. Makes a very luxurious effect in any garden!
