Evergreen Azalea Stewartstonian

Clusters of vivid orange-red blooms. Foliage turns burgundy in cold winters. The older leaves shed in winter, with newer mahogany-coloured leaves replacing them.

Developed in Stewartstown, PA by Joseph Gable for its cold hardness and later flowering time.

Stewartstonian is a slow-growing shrub that can take a few years to achieve mature size.
