David Leach dedicated years to hybridizing large-leaved rhododendrons in a quest for the best yellow flowers, and ‘Capistrano’ is the result. It bears big clusters of frilly, clear yellow blooms on plants with dark green leaves and a dense, mounded form. Evergreen.

One of the best hardy yellows.
