Baron Thyssen-Bornemisza Tree Peony (Smithers, 1992)
A hybrid with suffruticosa and rockii parentage.

Rare. More winter-hardy than some other tree peony varieties.

A very large mauve semi-double with flares, 10″ in diameter. Blooms late April. Hybridized and first grown in Switzerland.
