Queen Of The Prairie (filipendula rubra)

Fragrant, showy, and long-blooming.

Great for wetlands and near lakes. However, in our very dry garden it still grows well and blooms abundantly (although does not spread as readily).

With sufficient moisture, foliage may remain attractive throughout the growing season. If foliage depreciates in summer, cut back hard to promote new growth.

Native in Eastern North America.
