Super beautiful variety of plum tree resistant to black knot and giving very good yield. Large, round, dark red fruits with firm, juicy and sweet yellow flesh.
Needs cross pollination from different Japanese plum cultivars. Can be used as a landscape flowering tree in spring or a shade tree in summer.
Introduced commercially in 1897.
