Perennial plants by mail in Canada. Any plants on this page will be mailed in early May 2021 or in fall 2021 (availability date is specified in the description for each plant).

Any plants that are available by mail are also available to be picked up in Halifax. However, not all plants that are available in Halifax can be mailed. We mail bare root peonies and bulbs. Berry plants, shrubs, roses, and plants in pots with soil won’t be mailed.

Deadlines for mail order:
Spring 2021: Mail order cut-off is May 7.
Fall 2021: no deadline; while supplies last.

No HST on any purchases.

Amaryllis Belladonna (hippeastrum sonatini Belladonna, aka the Jersey lily, belladonna-lily, naked-lady-lily). All parts of this plant are poisonous. Blooms appear on leafless stalks, for that reason the plant is commonly known as "naked lady". Amaryllis sonatini lilies are also known as "surprise lily" because it pops seemingly out of nowhere. Flowers in late summer and fall. Each stalk bears up to 12 blooms. For a spectacular display, plant in groups of 3 or more. Southern exposure is ideal. Plant the bulbs 6-12" apart.
